 Software defined radio
« Thread Started on Oct 21, 2009, 10:06pm »

Anybody tried this site yet? It is really well done and very informative. Maybe some of you guys with high power and/or directional arrays can see your signal 3500 miles away. The antenna is located in the Netherlands. Enjoy. http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/ (I think you gotta type the end of the adress manually).

I was portable in GA for awhile and just for kicks set up on 40 CW one night to see if I could hear myself. It was a real blast to hear my signal. It was weak, but there. Only running 50 watts to a long wire I threw up in the trees.

There is also one operated by Wallawalla university in Washington. The URL is

http://outside.wallawalla.edu:8901

SDR is neat stuff.

Joseph , no I didn't get my digi modes up yet as I have only been home a month and the fecal matter has hit the air circulation device.LOL. Maybe after things slow down here I will get to it.Too many things left unfinished that need to be tended to before the snow flies..which will be soon.
