gud evening fellas.well looks like a wet start to along week agn.I will be glad when it stops for a spell and I can mow at least one last time I hope.had 4 tenths of rain this evening so far,has rained all weekend as well.

I have a quick question and did not want to start a new thread. This looks like a good place.
What is the "970" of this URL stand for? I like the night crew, as I am a night shift person and have been for 2 decades now.
I will slowly chip away at my next "award" at 250 posts.

Larry, When we first started this board a bunch of us stayed on the .970 repeater ragchewing and spotting Dx for each other well into the wee hours of the morning. Now we mainly use the 146.700 Grenada and the 147.330 Oxford machines. It's way to much trouble to change the url or start a new board.
I'm like you I worked the night shift for 20+ years till I "retired." (Retired:  LOL.....Seems I'm working twice as hard now that I am supposed to be "retired" chasing 3 curtain climbers and working this farm).

I figured it was the frequency suffix of a repeater but wanted to find out. Definately can not easily change the url. Keeps the history going by keeping it the same. It also provided me a new post!
I am off to work, no honey do list for me.
We have added 2 hams in the last week!
