 Welcome New Hams
« Result #5 Yesterday at 2:33pm »

The University of MS Amateur Radio Club held a one day Tech class and VE Exam session on Saturday Dec. 12. We added four hams to Amateur Radio in Lafayette County. I will add call signs later when they have been added to the FCC database.
Congratulations to:

David Shaw (Lafayette Co. Emergency Management Coordinator)
Gene Bramlett
Kent Stodghill
Jane Stodghill

If you get new hams in your club or area, let us know here. (A new thread!)

I should have added this earlier, but here it is.
UMARC will have its Christmas Party on Monday, December 14 at 6pm at the Lafayette County Central Fire Station. It will be pot luck so bring a dish and yourself.

Its warmed back up now. We did get a frost but no winter mix in Oxford. Luckily the wet stuff did not come until it warmed up. Would not want another ice storm.

It goes to show that you can make a QSL card interesting to catch attention. I have not made a QSL card. Something else to add to things to do list.
